The opera was born as a scenic element of the play "De Oedipus rex" by Sofocle, staged at the Teatro dei Ruderi during the Orestiadi of 1988. Formed by white enameled iron panels placed on two levels, it reflects the characteristics of frontal sculpture, typical of the author. In 1989 it was exhibited on the staircase of the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome. The last restoration was in 2002.
